JOB DESCRIPTION:
Centillion Solutions Inc. in Cumming, GA seeks Design Engineer(s). Create accurate network maps and detailed electronic construction prints. Prepare layouts, drawings and designs according to engineering specifications using GE AutoCAD. Bentley MicroStation and Smallworld. Designs Fiber to the Home projects, involving placement of splice cases by extracting data from Oracle database. Perform complex 2D/3D CAD layouts to determine feasibility of placement of telecom equipment like Racks, MDF, VDF, hubs, amplifiers, and cabling inside tower cabinets. Analyze and improve designs of 2D/3D CAD drawings of Pedestals, Pits, Vaults, Manholes, Hand holes, Splice Enclosures, Towers, Antenna and other equipment. Responsible for fiber availability and ring capacity checks, propose new routes, determination of redundancy requirements. Designs accurate network maps, layouts, drawings and detailed electronic construction prints for hybrid-fiber-coax (HFC), FTTx and backbone fiber optic networks. Creating designs, updating objects and levels in PNI (Physical Network Inventory database) GNIS Small world. Perform quality checks of mapping and network design and negotiate/approve design and/or construction changes. Design extensions and complete small system redesigns, in accordance with customer design specifications. Process engineering change notices and orders, to ensure that all related work is complete/accurate and that all related documentation is acquired and routed properly. Provide detailed designs and engineering for all physical Inside Plant aspects on commercial customer product delivery projects. Use advanced FEA packages to perform force, stress and thermal analyses on mechanical and electronic parts to assure that they will perform properly under all expected operating conditions. Study Design data, define test plans, and analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications. Evaluate changes to mechanical design standards (ANSI, ASME) and industry standards (IEEE,UL) and adapt design methods accordingly. Perform sustaining engineering by studying quality defects, suggesting corrective actions, and coordinating the efforts of all departments to implement design changes.
Travel: Must be willing to travel and relocate to unanticipated client locations in the U.S. every year
Job Requirements:
Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics or Electrical Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related field. Must also have experience with

Job Description:
Creating accurate network maps and detailed electronic construction prints. Prepares layouts, drawings and designs according to engineering specifications using GNIS – GE Smallworld. Design detailed drawings for Fiber to the Home projects, involving placement of splice cases and terminal by extracting data from GIS platform. Creating telecom network designs for Greenfield, Brownfield & Fiber to the Home environments as per the company standards. Designing copper routes and line count including size and gauge of cable including terminals, cross box, loop make-ups, rearrangement, bridge tap removal, circuit types & pair conditioning. Preparing network design maps, layouts, drawings for hybrid-fiber-coax (HFC), Backbone and PON overlay fiber optic networks. Analyze and research to improve network of Fiber, Splice Enclosures, Towers, Antenna and other equipment using Quality Manager Tool. Analyzing the design fiber availability and ring capacity checks, proposing feasibility of new routes, determination of redundancy as per the customer requirements. Responsible for creating designs, updating objects and levels in PNI (Physical Network Inventory database) GE Small world (GNIS). Performing quality checks of mapping and network design and negotiate/approve design and/or construction changes. Responsible for applications dealing with the overall operating fiber design system, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, telecommunications networks and CATV networks. Directing overall design and drafting development on projects and ensuring strict quality control measures to limit redline and drive accuracy. Design and develop automated systems/programs to satisfy business partner requirements by performing structured reviews of program/system design, reviewing test plans for the system, performing and reviewing application systems programming and testing, and reviewing system test results with business partners and development personnel. Process engineering change notices and orders, to ensure that all related work is complete/accurate and that all related documentation is acquired and routed properly. Provide detailed designs and
engineering for all physical Inside Plant aspects on commercial customer product delivery projects. Study Design data, define test plans, and analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications. Designing cost effective line setup and staking specifications for cable and line extensions using GIS and CAD, along with associated integration software including designing and developing OSP equipment installation, modifications, and upgrades. Perform sustaining engineering by studying quality defects, suggesting corrective actions, and coordinating the efforts of all departments to implement design changes. Preparing and maintaining maps of the telecommunication system, which accurately show the location of all consumers, lines, devices, roads, and other background details.
Travel:
Must be ready for short travel (less than 3 days) to client locations in the U.S.
